I met 3 friends for a great meal. Some were delayed by traffic due to local road/light rail construction, so I settled in with a bottle of Harrar beer, which was quite tasty. Once my friends arrived, it was hard to choose from the extensive menu. There are beef, lamb, chicken, seafood, and vegetarian selections from which to choose. Besides... More

A bit cramped but I damn near had a bus load. Went to celebrate a lovely lady who passed on from Eritrea (Ethiopia but with a constitution, and independent nation now) Food is always good but can be a bit spicy for white bread midwesterners like me. Staff very accommodating, will go the extra mile for

The flavors are different, the style is different and it's all well done. There are some unique curry's and other seasonings that you don't taste anywhere else. I don't know that it's authentic but it's certainly good. All the beef dishes use extremely lean meat. the spiciest sauces can be added from the side so you can season to taste.... More

Having lived in Ethiopia for five years, I rate this place the best Ethiopian food in the Twin cities.

I have been to Fasika many times and simply cannot find a better place to eat anywhere in the metro area. I have simply tastes and like simple hearty meals prepared by expert hands. Having eaten here a dozen times in the past few years I am amazed at the consistency of service and quality of the food. They never... More

Their food is really, really good. Ethiopian food in general is very vegetarian friendly and often on the spicy side and this place does not disappoint! We thoroughly enjoyed our meals and feel that they could charge a lot more, as the quality is excellent. (but we hope they don't, of course) Great value for great food!

I am an Ethiopian who wont mind eating Ethiopian food day in day out! Fasika happens to be a great restaurant, unfortunately among the VERY few good Ethiopian restaurants in the Twin Cities. To give credit where it is due, their food is delicious! But the service is just sooo disgusting. When a non-Ethiopian, especially caucasian, customer steps in, it... More

Ethiopian food, You eat with your hands and share with others. If you are into that, it's okay and apparently authentic based on the clientele. Try the Ethiopian wine. The French have nothing to fear, but it is distinctive.

A good place. Service can be a bit pokey and uncoordinated, but is always friendly. Atmosphere is "hole in the wall" type, but good enough for me. Its the food you should come for. Yes, its heavily spiced, and rather intense. But if you like such things, they make some of the most authentic of this ancient and complex cuisine.... More
