The Blue Door is a great place to grab a beer and a burger. You won't be disappointed by anything on their menu. Fried green beans? Don't mind if I do. This place is a Saint Paul gem. Just get there early, or be prepared to wait like a sardine in a can.

The Minneapolis-St. Paul area is known for Its "Juicy Lucy", which is two hamburger patties bound together with cheese in the center. At the Blue Door Pub they serve a different variation called the "Bluecy" which uses blue cheese instead of American cheese. Besides the "Bluecy" they also offer other varieties. I chose a Thai inspired burger with coconut milk... More

The food was great, but we ended up having to take it to go because we could hardly fit in the door. With the wait being over a hour and a half at 8pm they should really have a way to make reservations.

It would be terrible to say that I'd choose a Juicy Lucy over any man...any day... but it's almost true. Unless you're my man, who just so happens to love a BDP burger almost as much as I do, you are SOL. No hard feelings. Blue Door Pub was our first date. Always make sure to get there about a... More

every time i came by this place it was packed, so i decided to go in and find out what it was all about. its a Pub! - why is that important? because if you are expecting a calm quiet atmosphere, then you should really go elsewhere. it is rather loud when the crowd gathers, and there seems to always... Wanted to eat here after the DDD review. Very small and noisy place. Very disorganized upon entry. Staff wasn't very helpful with traffic flow. If you don't mind people watching you eat because of standing room, go ahead. We left and went to nearby 128 Cafe. What a gem! Best burgers are still to be found at Twisted Root Burger... More

Got there before the crowd hit but Shen the place was full we couldn't hear each other. BUT, the burger was worth it. Great, unique choice of burgers. Fries were limp but it still gets a very good rating.

The Twin Cities have an outstanding burger scene, and I have been to all of the best known burger restaurants in town. The Blue Door is probably my favorite. They do the standard burger flavors very well, and they also have some terrific specialty flavors. The beer selection is solid. It is a very small restaurant, so be prepared to... More

Ok, it's always crowded, but what does that tell you? We actually went around 4 p.m. and got a booth immediately. Others coming in at 4:30 and later had to wait for a table. $2 beer and $5 burgers during happy hour, unreal.!!! And that's any craft beer too. Cheese curds were great. Burgers are really good. Fun spot, nice... More

This place was even better in person. Saw this place on Diner Drive Ins and Dives. This is the best triple d place I have been to. It had tons of character and was really small. All the burgers were unique and great. Multiple types of tater tots and good beer selection. This is a must if you like burgers.
