We sat in the bar area to avoid a wait during dinner. The décor was very nice, great atmosphere. There are many great choices on the menu at a variety of price-points. We are looking forward to coming back on a future visit to Traverse City to try other menu items. The tortellini rustica was delicious and I had enough...

The view from our table was priceless! We sat inside the restaurant but overlooking Traverse Bay. It was gorgeous! Service staff were excellent. Beware of the parking though -- too few spots for a restaurant of this size.
Drinks were plentiful and very good. Salad and soup were outstanding. Dessert was delicious! The main courses caught us aback a little...

My husband and I were visiting Traverse City and ate at the Apache Trout Grill. We were greeted by very friendly staff and were told there would be a 30 minute wait. We waited at the outside bar area which overlooks the beautiful bay. We did not have as long a wait as predicted. I took the advice of the...

Great food, friendly staff, and lovely views of the bay. This is a terrific upscale location for a romantic dinner. Be prepared...parking is fairly limited, but it's worth the hassle.
My wife and I recently took a trip to Traverse City for our anniversary. We were told by multiple residents and travellers that the Apache grill was excellent. We decided to give it a shot and were not disappointed. We both had a drink at the bar and a main course all for around $65. The table had a great...

We spend three months each year in Florida where we tend to rate restaurants according to how good their shrimp is. We've had a lot of great shrimp there, but the Apache Trout Grill's barbeque shrimp dinner is second to none. The shrimp were large. wrapped in bacon and covered with a sweet, delicious sauce - an absolutely spectacular dish...

I ate at the Apache Trout Grill for the first time, June 1, 2013. On arrival we found a lovely setting on the waterfront, the restaurant is very, "Up North upscale" . We were a party of 6 and had a short wait before we were seated near the waterfront side of the restaurant. Our hostess was a little high...

A friend and I went there for lunch on a cold, rainy weekday. We were seated right away at a table with a lovely view of the sailboats out on the water. Our server was wonderful, knew the menu well, made suggestions when asked for them, but wasn't pushy. When we couldn't decide between two particular sandwiches we decided to...

Although some changes in the menu, this place rocks. I wondered how my impression would change after hearing of proposed menu changes, but I have to say the food was very good and the price is quite reasonable if not ordering drinks. The wait staff we encountered was very helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Being in the hospitality business, we hope...
