Get a window table! The restaurant is on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan. I usually have seafood, which is always very good. The place has a good bar, and a wide-ranging menu.

We decided to come here with family who had traveled from Germany. They had been great hosts when we visited them there and wanted to do something special for them and took them here. However, our visit was disappointing. I had the lake perch which was recommended by the waitress and was being ordered around me by what seemed to...

Artichoke hearts appetizer, swordfish entree and chocolate mousse... All favorites at this great local restaurant. And the martinis are always a hit!!
Pete and Nancy have been here for years. It is the place to go when you want good food and good friends. Perch, fish of the day, blackened sword fish and ribs are always good.
From the minute we walked inside this restaurant I had a good feeling, it just looked and felt like the right choice. The dining room looked as though it could provide fabulous lake views, but it was late at night so we chose the bar side. Patrons and staff all seemed to be having a fun time and we were...

My family went there on a mini-family reunion, dressed casually, but it is also a great date restaurant. On clear evenings you can see Lake Michigan; when you make a reservation, request a window seat. Fabulous perch and walleye, but there are many other entree choices. Great service and great food - we will be coming here again!

If you are lucky, get a table next to the big picture window and you can see the sun set over the lake. The meals are always preceded by a basket of bread/biscuits and cheese. The menu...

I've been to the Grand mere probably 4 or 5 times. Don't be fooled by the cluttered decor; the food is a little pricey, but good! I always get the broiled lobster tails, YUM!
My husband and I love the Grand Mere for date nights. It's a great way to spend an evening together, enjoying excellent service and a wonderful meal. Their bar service is great and the wine list extensive. From the host Matt's greeting to after dinner coffee with a shared dessert, our dining experience is relaxed and and the perfect remedy...
