The Be Happy coffee place is nice and cool (AC) and has wifi but I found the food rather expensive.

I was reluctant to come here initially as I wanted to have an indian experience and this is very much a western style cafe, but I came here once and found it to be a lovely place to drop into when I felt I needed a break from the noise and hectic life outside. Run by Vipassana meditators, I'm told,... More

While visiting Bodhgaya with my group, we stumbled upon Be Happy Cafe. It was peaceful and friendly with really tasty food. Owned by a western woman and her Indian husband, there is am emphasis on yummy, clean and healthy. I felt totally safe eating there. They even provide a clean water souce and you can fill your water bottles there.... More

We had pepperoncini & pizza with salad. Also, home-made herbal teas which were fantastic. The Canadian lady obviously is doing a great job. Cheap wifi available as well.

I couldn't find anywhere to buy real coffee in Bodhgaya. Eventually found this place advertising "lavazza" coffee. I ordered a double cappuccino (with soya milk!), expecting at the best something quirky. It looked a bit strange, served by the friendly waiter in a glass, but it was delicious. Not only the best cappuccino I've had in India, it also ranks... More

This is my first trip to India, and discovered this little gem of a place (I guess I could keep it a secret) that served good coffee, and equally good food and deserts. All the food (if I am not mistaken) is vegetarian, keeping up with the notion that this is probably one of the Holiest place for Buddhist everywhere,... More
