Environment is beautiful, service was good, food was just mediocre. Wasn't bad, wasn't great but it was fine. Just nothing specials.
We had an early dinner in this pub, and the food was excellent, as was the service. However, this is a college town and several tables were occupied by returning students. Typical of their age, they were noisy. Nonetheless, we'll come back.
Capers couldn't take us in so we came to the Pub instead, the woman at Capers reporting we could go to the Pub and get the same food. We did not have reservations at the hotel restaurant, Capers. But were told we did not have to wait if we went to their upstairs pub, Northland where we could be served the same food . The Landmark hotel restaurant is a great place to eat at especially for breakfast. If you are passing through Marquette and looking for a nice place to eat, consider the Landmark hotel.
A historic hotel with beautiful rooms, good restaurant and bar in the center of Marquette. Staff was very helpful with getting us a room for additional nights. I do recommend it. Most motels around charge a little less for a night, so it's worth to stay there.
Our favorite thing to do while we're in the area is to stay there after fireworks on the 4th. Or just as a treat when we go to see my in-laws.
