This is not Detroit-style pizza, which is square or rectangular and thick, with a crispy crust. This is Italian-style, with a crispy thin crust and fresh toppings. You might consider it New York style except it's superior to pies in NY. No question the product is excellent. But be prepared to stand in line and unless you come at off-times...

If you like thin crust pizza, you need to try this place in Eastern Market. It is worth the drive. They have THE BEST thin crust pizza I have ever had. I normally prefer deep dish or even Chicago stuffed pizza. But this place is just so amazing. The pizza is not your standard pizza, although I suppose you could...

Grabbed a few slices here with some buddies as it was recommended by some locals. We are big pizza eaters & were not really impressed with what we got. Perhaps a fresh pizza would have been better & the place was rammed with people so I won't write the place off until I've had a pizza and not just slices.
We finally had a chance to try this pizza and it was worth the wait. After a Saturday morning at Eastern Market we got to Supino about 11:30 am to find a line out the door. Everyone in line said it would be worth it and they nailed it.
Got to place our order in about 10 minutes and pizza...

Great New York style pizza. Perfect crust that folds over, just the right way. Had the pepperoni that was piping hot and delicious. Our second pizza was the margarita with fresh basil and baby tomatoes.. The long line went fast.
I used to be a pizza snob that held American pizza in contempt in comparison to the real thing on the other side of the pond. NO MORE! These guys have perfected the art of pizza-making!
Visited on a busy Saturday after shopping at Eastern Market. Here is the problem, waited 20 minutes in line just to get a slice of pizza. The slice was good but not 20 minutes good. A whole pie was 45 minutes! Need to speed things up!
Spent the morning shoping at Eastern Market and as always was great time. We went to Supino for the first time and WOW! I have to say it was one of the best meals I have had in the Detroit area. Im a big Buddys Pizza fan, but this place stole the title for the best Detroit Pizza!
Finally got a chance to try Supino's, after hearing so much about it. Was not disappointed. The pizza is delicious. You can get it by the slice (wonderful!). Seating is either at community tables [fun] or individual tables. I've been back a couple of times. There are always lines, but worth it.
