Description: Formerly Norman's Eton Street Station, Big Rock Chop House combines the rustic, casual feel of a mountain lodge with the high-energy of a contemporary club, an eclectic mix unlike any other Metro Detroit dining experience, The menu bursts with enormous, hand-cut, aged steaks & chops, including a 24oz Porterhouse, a 16oz Kansas City Strip Steak, a 20oz or 32oz Jumbo Bone-In Rib Eye, a 12oz Filet Mignon, Center Cut Pork Chops, double cut Lamb Chops & a 16oz Veal Porterhouse Chop. Other selections include Rocky Mountain Chicken, Canadian Whitefish & Dover Sole presented tableside. Adjoining the restaurant is a brew house, with custom, state-of-the-art equipment. Award-winning brew master Dan Rogers has created 4 signature beers to compliment the restaurant's distinctive American fare: Norm's Raggedy Ass Ale, Raymondo El Rojo, Flying Buffalo Stout & Weizenheimer Hefe Weizen. In addition to these, Rogers adds a seasonal & specialty brew to the bar, which he changes frequently.

One of the premier restaurants in Metro Detroit. The cigar lounge in particular is a real gem, and it survived the Michigan tobacco laws that crushed smoking at most establishments.

Charming lodge-style chop house - very unique in this area, kinda reminds me of "Bass Pro", relaxed and energetic. Cute outdoor seating is available as well. Service is fantastic - warm, friendly, and attentive. The bread bowl is amazing - great variety and delicious! Fillet (tender and juicy), royal trumpet mushrooms, mashed potatoes are all really nicely done, at perfect... More

Ate for the first time and had one of the best waiters ever. Very cozy ambiance, but had to send back food for the first time ever! Steak was too salty to eat. Discovered they dip it in soy sauce before cooking. Replaced w/o problem. Closed on Sunday's. Would return.

Went here with a large group. Loved the setting - a former train station adjacent to a very large rock ( yes, that is the Big Rock). I am always wary of a place called a "chop house", maybe I've had too many bad experiences with corny names, but the service and food quality were up to any standards anywhere... More

Beautiful interior but full of people there to see and be seen. We came for the beer-- their IPA --which they were out of. Food was OK but it's expensive. We had hoped to have a quiet dinner close by instead of having to drive and battle with parking in Royal Oak. The crowd was entertaining, I guess. Guess we... More

My husband and I along with my bro-in-law and sis-in-law celebrated our anniversary with some friends here and we had a great time. The food was excellent...I had the lamb chops and everyone else pretty much had steaks and lobster. You get nice size portions of the sides and the ambience was beautiful and cozy. Drinks were on point and... More

I do not like high-priced steakhouses. $35 for a steak and then pay $7 for veg on top - is ridiculous. But, a colleague wanted to try, so we went. It met my expectations exactly. I had NY Strip medium rare. It was overcooked, and on the tough side. I told the waitress - and she agreed, but I am... More

This is the best restaurant that we've tried in the area. If you are a steak person, be sure to try their steak. Our local favorite. Also, great desserts!

Big Rock has gone through many re-generations over time, however always delivers high quality food and ambiance that is very cosmopolitan and just a bit edgy. Happy hours run from late afternoon till 7:00 P.M. in the bar area only and offer nice selection of appetizers and drink specials. Appetizers are offered at $3, $4, and $5 and for the... More
