Love the pulled chicken and the corn bread and mac and cheese are the best! It can get hot in there, but it's a lot of fun. Beer selection is great as well.

I live nearby, so i've been to Redbones a few times over the years. It's OK, but if you know real BBQ, or prefer the west Texas style which i'm partial to, you'll likely be disappointed in Redbones. It's not bad, but not worth the raves it gets, either.
Redbones is replete with all the requisite BBQ cliches: well-worn, shack-like decor, walls plastered with photos and southern memorabilia, mason jar glasses and a boisterous clientele. The menu is extensive and chock full of all all things barbecue. Ribs come in several varieties, including Memphis style (dry rub), Arkansas style (St. Louis), Texas style (beef) and baby backs. Whichever style...

The BBQ here is dry and not very tasty. The side dishes are small in portion and could be more flavorful. It is very inexpensive and therefore a hit with the local college kids but not somewhere I would want to frequent for barbeque based on taste alone.
Neat restaurant located in Davis Square. We had a short wait in the interesting downstairs bar. Good beer choices. Once seated we all ordered different things, I had the Baby Back rib special. the ribs were great; meaty and not a lot of fat...good and sticky with a flavorful BBQ sauce on the side. They were served with fries which...

Have been to Redbones numerous times but only to enjoy their bar area downstairs. The drinks and beer selection are great and the staff is generally friendly. It's in the Davis Square area which is technically in Somerville but is very near Cambridge as well, walkable from Porter Square for example. Anyways, while I usually am happy to enjoy a...

I have been here a hundred times and never thought to review it because it's a common place for me to visit. But it is definitely worth the praise. The pulled pork is always perfect, never dry, always full of flavor. Yams on the side are great. All 4 types of ribs (St. Louis, Memphis, Arkansas and especially Texas) are...

This is a serious BBQ place with an extensive choice of BBQ meat. The plates are huge and I had hard time eating more then half of what was in my plate. Extensive selection of micro beers from MA and around the world is also plus. The place is quite popular and we had to wait about half-hour before being...

I loved this place. The restaurant is very unique and so so casual. The music was totally too load. But the food was so so incredible. I found the prices and food portions to be reasonable. Again, it was one of the best places for BBQ that I have visited in New England.
I am by no means a Southerner, I have rarely traveled south of the Mason-Dixon line, and I could give a rats @$$ about what's 'authentic' BBQ and what isn't. What I do know is I like things that taste good, and Redbones' food tastes good, end of story.
I'm a huge fan of pulled pork, and Redbones has the...
