The food was excellent. The server at the buffet table served my wheelchair bound husband, a big help to me. The tavern was a great place to eat and relax with old friends.

Charming. Good food. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent rating is because I think the prices are too high for what you're given.
Each evening our guests would continue the evening festivities in the warmth of the Tavern. The staff was very accommodating and fun. They treated us with family hospitality!
My wife and I have a vacation home on the Cape and although there are many, many good restaurants on the Cape, many of them are closed in March before the season begins. We were going to be heading off Cape and were looking for a restaurant for an early dinner. We called the Daneil Webster and they were open...

Thank you for such a great review! We try to offer items like our "demi menu" to satisfy those who are looking to eat smaller portions or have room to try a special appetizer or dessert. It's great to hear you both enjoyed the Three from The Sea and that there was enough for you to split! (Isn't it nice...

Food is great! But has an interesting experience trying to substitute onion soup for lobster bisque on the lobster sandwhich/soup meal, although the onion soup was cheaper then the lobster chowder we were charged for both the chowder and the onion soup because there were no substitutions allowed! Seems that an establishment of this quality would be somewhat more flexible...

We do apologize for the inflexibility you encountered with the soup option, we are usually quite flexible and we should have found some way to make your request work. Our Dining...

A true New England Tavern with terrific food (perfect) attentive wait-staff and a place to meet and chat. Have been going to "the Daniel" for many years for special occasions in the conservatory but, love the Tavern for the informal get-togethers.
We finally decided to try the Daniel Webster Tavern and found everything to be top shelf. We dropped in without a reservation and were warmly greeted and after a very brief wait seated for dinner. The menu is expansive and has something for everyone's taste from salads to gourmet pizza to typical entrees. Karin, our server, was delightful and handled...

Dining in The Tavern was a great experience. The menu has lots of choices, the wine list is excellent, and the service couldn't be better. The venison in particular was spectacular.
This restaurant seems to have continually go downhill over the past few years. The last time we went will be the final time. The wait staff did not know much about anything on the menu, in spite of reservations, we had a 1/2 hour wait. My brother, who is deaf, but verbal, was treated rudely by the waitress who wold...
