This pizza shop is still as good as ever. Great thin crust.....but price is very high for a slice
My husband and I had lunch here based on the prior tripadvisor reviews and were very impressed. We each had 2 slices of pepperoni pizza that had just come out of the oven. It was traditional Italian thin crust pizza with real hand cut thick style pepperoni. The sauce was delicous and the sizes of the slices were huge. The... More
As a resident of NYC for over 30 years...I am ashamed to say that NYC pizza has been dethroned as the best thin crust pizza. Spiritus had amazing pizza. As a lover of true thin crust pizza with a savory sauce...Spiritus is better than any I have ever had before.
We parked down lower Commercial and were walking toward the center of town when we passed Spiritus. It was lunchtime and I had seen the place listed on TA so we stopped in. i was mesmerized by the delish smell of coffee, so...though the last thing i needed was espresso, i ordered a (seasonal) gingerbread soy latte. it was some of the best coffee i'd had in awhile. the woman that took my order was really nice, too. i'll be back next time!
Pretty big place - lots of places to sit both inside and out. You order at the counter, and then sit wherever. I love pizza, and wasn't sure if this place would be good or not based on the reviews. But it was good! The crust is very thin, mine was a little charred, but the sauce is good -... More
Have had the pizza twice this year. Very tasty and even better when you sit out front and people watch.
Seriously the best pizza ever...it's the first place I go every time I'm in Ptown! They also have really great coffee (and not outrageously expensive) and ice cream. This is also the place to people watch, especially after Tea Dance...so much fun!
If you want a quick, delicious, economical meal, check out Spiritus Pizza. It is hands down the best pizza in town. The pizza is thin crust, whole wheat dough with delicious toppings that is baked to crispy perfection. You can't go wrong here. A definite must while in Ptown.
