Royal India Bistro is consistently fantastic. The curries are flavorful and fresh, the dosas are crispy and well-spiced, pakoras are fried perfectly, breads are excellent. The drink menu is creative and very good - try the Pimm's cup made with fresh ginger, cucumber and mint. Truly the best Indian food I've ever had, including several spots in London.

Good Indian is hard to find in these parts. Often you find "fast food" Indian or "infusion" Indian but rarely Authentic Indian. The food is fresh and made to order. The atmosphere is cozy and fairly calm and quiet. The wait staff is attentive and professional. If you can stop in during lunch ypu won't be disappointed. The lunch specials... More

We have eaten lots of Indian food - mostly very good, but this was great. The restaurant is small, but very attractively decorated with a curtain & extra door to protect you from the cold outside. I'm glad we even made a reservation on a snowy evening because within an hour most of Lexington seemed to be coming into this... More

Everything this jewel of a restaurant produces is amazing, from their Naan bread to their korma dishes, the stalag paneer, and a wafer-thin, crispy spicy crunchy bread! Such depth of flavors it'll knock your socks off.

The food was great and so was the service. The place is kind of small but the ambience is good. The food was good quality and nicely flavored. We ordered veg biryani which was full of veggies and was authentically cooked, malai kofta was rich and delicious as well. I also liked the bread basket which was decently priced and... More

Delicious food, prompt service, in a very pleasant atomesphere. They even brought warm moist towels at the end of the meal! One thing to be aware of, though is that the food is a little on the spicy side. Overall, a great experience!

We have eaten here several times since it opened and have always enjoyed it. Most of the time it has been just the two of us, but recently we took our children, spouse, and grandchildren--a total of 8. Despite the restaurant's small size that worked very well.

Recently visited with a group and we had a great time. Food is well prepared. Your entree is brought in a small metal dish (come to think of it, nearly everything was served in/on metal) and there is all the white rice you'd like to go with your entre. The Naan looked wonderful, I wish now I'd ordered one. I... More

There are many good Indian restaurants in this area, but the Royal Indian Bistro served some of the best Indian food we have ever eaten. Their salmon special was extraordinary - it was made in a Tandoor but was moist and had a very interesting mix of spicing, but was not overly "spicy". The other dishes that the four of... More
