We went there for a drink and dessert and ended up chatting with an exceptionally friendly bartender who gave us insights on life on the islands. Seems like a great place to hang out. Although not yet open, there is a lovely patio. Would love to return for dinner.

At this hidden Edgartown restaurant your food becomes art. Beautiful presentations, balanced flavors and textures and a nice wine list all come together for an amazing dining experience. The negative to this restaurant is it exists only seasonally. If you are a foodie or simply enjoy fine dining...this is your place!

A tasteful restaurant tucked away in Nevins Square in Edgartown, Detente is a lovely place. Intimate seating (6 tables), simple, elegant decor with wooden chairs, tables, candles. Generous selection of wines, delicious potato bread came before the meal. Entrees were delicious and well designed and the staff was polite and discrete. Very reasonable for this quality of experience.

Dentente is a little hard to find, behind some shops in downtown Edgartown, but ... a lovely and romantic location. We had a wonderful server! We chose to go with the chef's tasting menu. Food is really good. The bartender is terrific. They have a special deal at 5:30 where you get 30% off the menu if you eat at the bar. They also have a great outdoor spot which is cozy and pretty.

The menu is small, but their offerings are well executed. Their winelist is decent and very reasonably priced - the Albarino is at a good price point and it goes very well with their seafood appetizers. Not a large menu selection to choose from, but very delicious seasonal fare with an emphasis on seafood. Very good service as well
