I have been coming to Maine for 30 years, and this was, hands down, my worst dining experience on every level. Exorbitantly priced, gritty, rubbery clams and rude service. We got takeout, and it all went in the trash. Yes--that bad.

Ownership changed a few years ago at this fish market and takeout place on Route 1. Nice covered area with picnic tables if you want to eat there. The fried seafood is excellent especially the clams -- big, sweet and puffy.

We ordered fried Calamari dinner for lunch. Menu description was that it would come with hand cut pickle, but what was provided was two small pieces (Quarter size) of hamburger pickle. And there was lot of just fried batter with some fried Calamari. Also, the outdoor tables were not clean. We will never eat there again.

Stumbled upon this place. Ate at the outdoor picnic tables. Had a huge lobster roll that was super fresh. We also tried the lobster Rangoon and it was delicious with a spicy sauce. Would highly recommend!

do not order a hot dog or a hamburger. You order the full belly fried clams (not the strips). They are big, fat and very tasty . . . and there are lots of them. And yes, in the summer it takes a while to get your order because they are made to order - not sitting in a fryer... More

What a great find. My husband and I stopped in and had an great dinner. The clam roll and haddock sandwich were fantastic! We'll visit again soon for sure.
