Visited Acadia National Park on Sunday, May 19, 2013, and stopped in at the Jordan Pond House for lunch. I had the chicken, cranberry & walnut salad sandwich and my wife had the roast beef sandwich. Each was about $10-11 and you got chips and a fantastic popover and butter and jam with the sandwiches. We also ordered fresh squeezed... More

No choices here in the middle of Acadia National Park, but that is OK - we had outstanding Lobster Bisque, rich and delicious. On the expensive side, at $18 a bowl, but they were brimming with lobster meat. Great view of Jordan Pond. Server very nice. Pleasant walk around the pond after lunch. For those with a little extra to... More

Whether you stop in for popovers and tea while sitting under and umbrella outside with a clear view of the Bubbles, or fortifying yourself with a full meal after (or before) a day of hiking or biking Acadia, Jordan Pond House is well worth the visit. The food (while not cheap) is always good, and the service generally exceptional. Parking... More

We walked the two hour trail around Jordan Pond and then topped of the day with lunch at the Jordan Pond House. We had made reservations since we have completed this little jaunt before in past summers. Of course, you have popovers...with jam...and we prefer the lobster stew or roll. Ironically, the lobster at the JPH was well over $12.00... More

You must go here if you are in the area! The popovers are delicious.. especially for dessert filled with ice cream! We've eaten here twice and enjoyed our meal both times. We really enjoyed the crab cakes as well. Next time we visit the area, we will definitely go back!

Popovers Ala Mode and Tea-delicious! Yes, it's a tourist trap, but only if you decide you need an entire meal at Jordan Pond House. Be SURE SURE SURE that you make a reservation first and get there earlier than your set time. It gets packed and if you don't have a reservation, you will find your self with at least... More

Essentially in Acadia Park, though one can get there without paying the park fee. The popovers are not to be missed, and we have enjoyed all the dinner offerings through the years. The atmosphere is quiet and peaceful at dinner, even in the high season, and the student servers all excel. Wishing them the best in their careers!

A bit pricey but great food and beautiful views. A great spot to rest after walking the many hiking trails and carriage roads in Acadia National Park.

Jordan Pond House is one of the must do - must see on MDI. Beautiful hiking trails and fabulous food! Everything was so delish and homemade. Lobster quiche, yum. Chowder, yum. But I will have to say the crab cakes were the best I've ever had! Can't forget the blueberry crisp. I want that recipe!!! The only downside to our... More
