If you want to drink beer and something to munch on, it's a good place. If you want to go out for a nice dinner, better off going somewhere else. Menu has many types of nachos, burgers, fajitas, salads, wings, and cheese steaks. It doesn't have seafood or steak dinners.. Saw a tuna and a fish & chips choice, that's... More

The Great Lost Bear has a great beer selection and an eclectic (cluttered?) ambiance. If you go on a weekend evening, prepare to wait for a table because this place is very popular. Consequently, it can be noisy. Our son enjoyed his Thai BBQ sandwich, but his little daughter's chicken tenders were not. Tender. The breading was thick and crusty... More

Upon walking into the restaurant, I immediately liked the look & feel of the place. We were seated quickly & had a friendly & attentive waiter. Unfortunately, that's about where the good things end. I ordered french onion soup with salad & ther raspberry cocktail. I would not recommend either one. Someone else ordered a chili meat burrito & burger,... More

This is a sort of neighborhood place that is not in the heart of Portland, but the beer selection is great and the quality of pub food is very good.

Food is great. They have some fun, wacky options which I love to see on menus. It's reasonably priced, and the staff was great. The service was quick and efficient. Our server was very personable and, although busy, always made time to swing by our table. He never made us feel rushed and took the time to actually conversate with... More

The Great Lost Bear is still my favorite place to have a beer in Portland. The tap list is amazing and they will let you sample everything. There isn't many places were you can get a $1.25 4oz sample of most craft beers, and $2.25 for Belgium and premium beers. I have heard from many people though that it's not... More

The blizzard of 2013 (nemo) was over by a few hours, and we walked to the resaurant and found there was a wait list! Not to worry, we only waited10 minutes. It was like any other day/evening. This place has a loyal following, though with 75 taps for domestic, international, microbrews, etc. make it a popular hotspot.

They have a large selection of local brews and other craft beers! They also feature breweries on specific nights.

A varied menu for all. Families will appreciate the choices for children which include a nice selection of burgers (one of my favorites). Excellent choice for vegetarians (my wife loves their veggie burgers) Huge salads. Excellent choice of beers. Check it out, you'll be glad you did.
