I found the menu for The Black Frog on my computer while still in Alabama. After reading the menu and knowing we were spending a day and night in Greenville, Maine I decided I simply had to eat there. Anyone with a menu that funny had to have good food. I was right. We had a very late afternoon meal... More

I've dined here several times in the past and always come back for more. Good service, lots and lots of hilarious menu items to suit all ages and appetites, and that fabulous view of Moosehead Lake. Came in for lunch today, traveling over from Jackman. Richards chili was my choice and my friend chose the meatball sandwich. They appeared at... More

The food was as described by staff and menu. The portions were generous, the staff was very friendly and attentive. The server offered their heater to warm my boots during our lunch while snowmobiling! Who could ask for more from a lunch spot?

A great spot for lunch. The menu was very good and very funny. The writer certainly had fun with it. This theme seemed to permeate the employees, too. They were upbeat and pleasant. The food was very good, served as described and a good value. There is also a great view of Moosehead Lake.

This Place is an absolute joke....dont eat there,it is horrible...not kidding or making up lies...somebody needs to call the board of health immediately and you will say the same thing as soon as you walk through the front door..Buy drinks and beers only...you have been warned.

We stopped in solely because my wife likes frogs and wanted a t shirt. What a find, the staff was very friendly. I was deciding between a burger and the haddock sandwich, the waitress suggested the latter, and I thank her for that. The filet was hanging off the bun about 4 inches on each side, delicious and fried perfectly.... More

Stopped for lunch and didn't regret: nice food, beautiful view of the lake and the waitress was attentive and provided good service, in a casual atmosphere.

Recommended by a friend, this fun place with a great view of Moosehead Lake had tasty comfort food, good service, and a good selection of beer and custom cocktails. My wife and I found Greenville to be a very warm and friendly place with a delightfully quirky New England charm that was well represented at the Black Frog.

The sandwich was lousy, the fries were not fresh cut but coated frozen type that can cause allergic reactions in some people. Those coatings are engineered in labs to sell to food producers. Greenville seems to be an overpriced tourist stop, the motel on the hill is way overpriced also.

Service is somewhat lacking...they always pack you in one corner with everybody while the rest of the dining room is empty. I guess it's so the waitresses dont have to walk too far. Quality of food is average, same old stuff. I used to like the poutin, but lately they started to serve mushy potatoes, which make me think the... More
