Rich, juicy and tender meat by simply steam the fresh lobster. No fancy table but a million dollar view! Be there early because parking and seating are limited.

Every year when we visit Maine, we like to drive down new roads to distant points of land, hopefully mixing in a new foodie experience with the scenery.
I love Five Islands Lobster Co, not only because it cooks up great lobster dinners right there at their lobster pound on the dock, but because you can breathe in the sea...

We have a group of friends that make several trips each season and plan for a whole afternoon. We make it a grand party. We bring our own picnic gear, tablecloths, cheese, crackers, appetisers,
wine, beer, music, etc and have a ball. We socialize with strangers and make new friends. Fried oysters, shrimp and clams are passed around followed by...

The best lobster shack food, view and atmosphere in Maine. Love anything fried, especially the shrimp, and the Jenny's Special is a great sandwich. Great homemade sauces and cole slaw.
I came here with my two young sons before hitting Ed's stuff for souvenirs. Incredibly beautiful drive. Be sure to stop at a stand for the freshly picked wild blueberries too. My kids wanted a 2nd lobster after the first one. We were smiling ear to ear drinking in the sun and enjoying every bite. Every single person around us...

In the summer there is no parking as there are so many families here visiting from places all over the world. It closes for the fall/winter/spring. Beautiful harbor of five islands has working boats coming in with the lobster you will eat. Outdoor picnic tables and packages of hand wipes make it the informal feasting it is meant to be....

The absolutely perfect lobster purist experience. You order your lobster with all the fixins' and eat it on picnic tables on the deck overlooking one of the most beautiful coves in midcoast Maine. Superb food. Great atmosphere. The best view of ANY restaurant in the area. Wear a light jacket if any month other than July or August since the...

Lobster just doesn't get any fresher than this unless you eat it on the boat. A little expensive and quite a drive (good 20 miles driven to get there) but well worth it for the food, scenery, and experience. We selected our lobsters which are caught locally, held in seawater pumped from below the wharf and then steamed in seawater....

It has a wonderful lobster shanty feeling and good food. The people are fantastic.
We had the good fortune to eat here for lunch, upon the recommendation of our friends (Maine natives). We loved the outdoor picnic atmosphere and lovely scenery. Our friends brought a picnic basket with cheese, crackers, and fresh veggie snacks, which perfectly complemented the fried oysters, steamers, and lobster we bought at Five Islands - all of which were THE...
