Had lunch here and overall it was a wonderful experience. Jolies has an upscale fell to it, with a wood an marble bar and rod iron spiral staircase. Unlike several negative reviews…our server was excellent, very knowledgeable and helpful. I think like most places if you have a pleasant server and order the right thing you will be happy. The... There was to be a wedding rehearsal dinner downstairs later in the evening, so we were packed off upstairs to what turned out to be a nondescript balcony eating area. For the price, which is hefty, I need more. Service was basic but acceptable. Food was nothing to write home about although, as mentioned, plenty expensive. Can't really find anything... More

We went for an early Mother's Day dinner, and found the experience good but not great. Our waiter had no personality and worse no knowledge of the menu, could not or would not give recommendations, and that did color our opinions I am sure. We asked it the charcuterie plate was enough for 4 people and at $15.00 it should... More

People from various places told me that the food is better in Lafayette than in New Orleans. Well, I haven't eaten at every restaurant in New Orleans, so I'll resist that comparison. Let's just say that Jolie's is very darn good! We ate there twice in two nights; I guess that's an indication. The service was very pleasant with two... More

We decided to not order dinner entries. I think that is the best plan for this restaurant. Jolies has a very eclectic appetizer and small plate selection. We ordered five different apps and wine and ate tapas style. The waiter was nice, and the food was tasty. I will say some of the apps we ordered, I thought, were priced... More

We went there on a Saturday evening around 8 PM. We were so disappointed in the attitude of everyone in the restaurant from the hostess to the waiter. This is a higher end restaurant with a gourmet menu. The food was average and the service was poor. The paintings and atmosphere which were lovely could only make up for so... More

Not for foodies. Expensive, Ambitious menu, supposedly locally sourced ingredients. Some of the food was good, the rest mediocre. None of it was memorable. What WAS memorable was the poor service. Not one server seemed to have a sense of urgency. The restaurant was less than 1/2 full at 2:30 in the afternoon and it took us 10 minutes to... More

I saw this location on trip advisor as a must see for local cuisine. It lived up to its ranking. The food was excellent, albeit scary sounding. I passed on the bone marrow in favor of crab cakes and the pork chop. They serve the biggest chop I've ever seen in my life and the waiter said it was only... More

Food was presented nicely, much too gourmet for my tastes... The coffee was great - The server was nice and answered all of our questions. I probably wouldn't go back, but thats just me and I am not into fancy meals...

The bistro is well priced and offers some non standard food in an area dominated by Cajun seafood places and fast food options. We had extremely fresh, well prepared seafood in a variety of options not seen elsewhere on our trip. This night we were offered redfish and sheepshead and both were delicious. Dessert was also a treat
