After 3 days in Breaux Bridge, LA I needed my my catfish "fix" badly. I choose wisely. This is a small down and dirty (not literally) fish fry restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. Of course I had the catfish and my wife had the shrimp, both Po-Boy's. They were delicious. The... More

Loved the fried catfish, and I’m picky about fried catfish! It was a little expensive for simple fried food, but truly good batter. Le Café is a tiny, little place with counter service and bare bones furnishings.

4 of us went for lunch and we all had the shrimp po-boys and shared an order of onion rings. The po-boys had lots of shrimp and 1 order of onion rings was plenty for 4 people. There is no wait staff, order at the counter and pick it up. Small restaurant with around 10 tables. They even have a... More

Le Cafe advertises Seafood Po-boys. But their "po-boys" come on soft hogie type buns, not French bread. So these are definitely not po-boys. I got a large shrimp "po-boy", which came with lots of shrimp, but the shrimp had a heavy flour batter, soggy by the time I got it home in less than 10 minutes. Also got a side... More

The title says it all. Throw in some slaw and a huge side of onion rings to split, and 2 drinks with these 1/2 po boys, and you've got a great lunch for two for less than $20. You really can't go wrong with anyplace in Breaux Bridge, but this little place is a winner.

Cramped building but excellent food! All handbattered seafood, onion rings etc.. cooked to perfection not over cooked. We will visit again when are coming thru.
