We choose Jack Fry's for our first night out in Louisville based on TripAdvisor reviews and we thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The restaurant is set in an old house in Bardstown (where it has been apparently since 1933). Bardstown is a trendy area of clubs and restaurants. Even though it was a Wednesday night, we had our hotel call for... More

We were in Louisville to celebrate our grandson's birthday and were excited to be trying Jack Fry's for the first time. Although it was very crowded we were seated right away and the service was fantastic! The atmostphere was wonderful and the music in the background was a perfect compliment rather than an annoyance. It was the food that was... More

We love to visit Louisville and Jack Fry's is always the highlight! Everything is great so order whatever sounds good! Great place to meet friends, family yet romantic for a couple. The front room is much quieter but don't miss a drink at the bar, before or after dinner. Jack Fry's makes diners feel as those they are in on... More

I chose to take my Mother to Jack Fry's to celebrate her 80th birthday, because she loves pork chops. It was a fabulous evening, everything was perfectly cooked, and the ambiance fabulous. The piano player even played a jazzy rendition of Happy Birthday when our excellent waitress brought over a complimentary dessert with a candle, to our table. Thank you... More

Fantastic food. We started off with the Crab and Lobster Cake appetizer. They were just incredible. Moist and delicious. My husband ordered the poached halibut and enjoyed every morsel. One of our friends ordered the duck, and another friend and I ordered the Ahi Tuna special. Perfect. Drinks were moderately priced and nice. Desserts were too good to pass up.... More

Wonderful dining experience. The food was fabulous....10 people each of whom ordered different items and all were pleased. Excellent service. Great music (not too loud). Can't wait to go back!

My fave restaurant in town by far. Outstanding food and service in a classic atmosphere. I'd eat here once a week if I could afford it. The filet is something magical.

We were a bit stunned by the upright-piano player and wondered if our selection was a bit creaky too.. but the food was imaginative and delightful - nothing stodgy there. I had the lobster and fennel salad with a light creamy dressing that was wonderful. My husband had foie gras (hard to find is some places) and said it was... More

From the moment my Dad and I stepped into this restaurant, I knew it was going to be a home run. I was slightly biased from the reviews I read prior and getting a recommendation from someone that used to live there, but opinions aside, I can say it would have been five stars regardless. Attempting to go there the... More

We loved our meals and would return as a couple, but for four couples, conversation was very difficult. You could talk to the person next to you, but anything else was impossible, even hearing the person directly across the table. Our table for 8 was in the very middle of the restaurant, which is small to begin with, and mobbed... More
