My friends and all I enjoyed the southern cuisine and cocktails here. It's within walking distance to the Galt House and 4th street Live bars.
Went here based upon the reviews and they are a stop on the Urban Bourbon trail. Did not disappoint. Great Bourbon and decent beer selection. like that they feature some local beers on tap. They do a great job with barbecue. We had the brisket and the pulled pork. Both very good. Place has an open kitchen, so you can... More
Tried Doc Crow's on the recommendation of our hotel, which then provided shuttle service. On a Monday evening, the restaurant was very quiet, which is a plus for us! Both the hubby and I had the beef brisket, and while the flavor was good, the meat itself was a bit on the tough side and not well trimmed of fat.... More
We walked from our downtown hotel and were seated at the bar quickly. No reserved tables were available. Our bartender (mixologist) Nathaniel was very informative and made the best Old-Fashioned we've ever had! The brisket was delicious and service was excellent. Definitely a find!
My girlfriends and I stopped into Doc's on our Urban Bourbon quest for stamps for our passports. We enjoyed draft beers and in my opinion, the best Sazerac cocktail outside of New Orleans! A friend and I enjoyed a half dozen fresh oysters on the half shell. Another enjoyed the shrimp cocktail! Would definitely return next time we visit the... More
We arrived around 6pm on a Friday and didn't anticipate getting a table since reservations were booked all night. Luckily, the hostess was able to work her magic to fit us in and seated us right away! We both enjoyed our bourbon cocktails and the food was very good. I had "The Crow" to drink and we shared the Rockefeller... More
We went on a Saturday night and were told we would have a 45-60 minute wait. The staff at the host station didn't seem to want to be there. We checked in at one-hour and voila - there was a table for us (a bit suspicious). Our server was very nice and efficient. Food was reasonably priced and in large... More
This place is great. They smoke their own pork and brisket. These two dishes are excellent. The bourbon menu is outstanding. And really....what other place has barbecue and oysters?
We went to Docs a week ago about 9pm with a party of 9-after reading lots of positive reviews. Unfortunately it was a bomb. We ordered our drinks and one in our party did not receive his, upon being told he just shrugged his shoulders and the drink came 15 minutes later. After we ordered appetizers which were ok but...
