We really enjoyed this restaurant. It is a mix of Southwestern, planes, and southern goodness, but even Californians would enjoy it.

Food to me is not what most reviewers say. Ate breakfast there one time. It was bland. Coffee was very light because I am a coffee "connoisseur". Service was average.

I like to stop at The Chef for lunch when I'm in Manhattan. Service is good and personable. Food is unique and homemade. Prices are reasonable and a good value. Eating a local cafe always beats out a chain.

All around great restaurant, food, service, environment and easy to access. Highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. You will not be disappointed and your water glass will always be full.

My sister and I attended K-State years ago. So fun to return to the Chef Cafe. We enjoyed everything - the wait in line that went out on to the sidewalk, the fun menu, the tasty food - looking forward to going again when we are in Manhattan.

Well worth the wait on weekend mornings. Absolutely love the smothered burrito. Staff is fantastic and the food is always good. Only negative is the wait, but when it's this good, you're going to wait.
