I ate here with a group of friends and was very pleased with the food and service. Great flavor, served piping hot and the waitress was very friendly. I pass through here on a regular basis and plan on making it a regular stop.

We enjoyed our lunch stop. The menu was intriguing and included some restaurant lore. Our waitress did a good job at a busy time. We both had sandwiches and tried the fried potato salad. The salad was not dressed to our taste, but has inspired me to try it at home.
This place is sort of unexpected in a small town. I ordered the pecan chicken for lunch. It was loaded with pecans and I liked it a lot. It was accompanied by a tossed salad, green beans and carrots and fried potato salad. The fried potato salad was crispy and tossed in a mustard based dressing and we both like...

The table was dirty. The seafood pasta we had was okay the potato soup not. The other couple with us ordered tenderlion and was not edible.
Good...but not great or really memorable. I've tried it a few times thinking it will be super but I keep getting slightly dissapointed.
Cafe on the Route totally exceeds your basic roadside cafe, Luncheon menu includes pork loin in cranberry sauce, orange roughy in white wine lemon sauce, salmon in tandoori sauce, smoked salmon with apple chutney, in addition to an array of sandwiches. Our group had the smoked salmon, tandoori salmon, pecan crusted chicken breast, and stuffed lasagna rolls. The lasagna rolls...

We found this restaurant on the Internet by searching for restaurants featured on Triple D from the Food Network. After driving 5 hours straight from Dallas on our way to St. Louis, we were excited about stopping at the local diner known for having some flavor profiles that you would not normally expect.
Because we were on a road trip,...

We stopped by for lunch and had excellent sandwiches. A few years ago we stayed there overnight and ate dinner and breakfast. Everything was more than expected and reasonably priced. You won't find a better place within many miles so give it a try.
They've got a good selection on the menu, and the prices won't break the bank. The food is quality and the waitress with dark hair will take great care of you!
