Portions were large and you get coleslaw and cottage cheese "fixins" to share along with bread. Wait staff wear overalls and hats kind of a farm theme. The atmosphere was fun the food was average. It has a store in it to shop while you wait - kind of like Cracker Barrel.

Since there was a few minute wait we had dinner at the bar. Had a nice conversation with the bartenders.

Food was amazing!! Probably some of the best in des moines Iowa. However my wife and I ordered alcoholic drinks and they were just way to powerful. We were very disappointed about those but the food got def 5 stars!!

Not what it used to be! Food was all overcooked, mediocre at best. Go one exit down and get a much better meal for better prices at Cracker Barrel.

I have been there many times. I ordered an appetizer and a side salad. The host and wait staff were excellent and I couldn't have asked for better. The reason for less than perfect - salad was 45% large core pieces of lettuce or brown around the edges. Drsg was excellent.
