I wasn't overly impressed with the wiener, but the soup was good. I think it's more a sentimental favourite for people who grew up here.
I love eating at this place, and cannot wait for the new one to open! I order the hot dogs with cheese and chilly along with a root beer in the bottle. Please open the new one soon! I miss this place and look forward to the grand opening of the new one to taste those hot dogs once more!... More
Although having moved a few times in its long history (approaching 100 years), and is now moving again to a new location, this is one place you must visit! Never fancy, and not the cheapest hot dogs you have ever seen. But the tradition, history, friendliness, and goodness, are not to be missed. You will see all walks of life... More

Milwaukee Wiener House in Sioux City Iowa is a legend. It is a family run business/2nd generation. I remember 20 cent dogs 50 years ago-if my memory is right-started going there as a small child. Actually they are kinda expensive now, but we STILL go whenever we are in the area-I could eat there every day!!
This place brings happy memories to my husband, who would come by and enjoy a couple of hotdogs after delivering the newspapers on his route. That being said, I was very impressed with the whole place. Simply put, Great Dogs!
Great place. Long on food quality but short on atmosphere. This is a historic place. First I can remember it was $0.07 a hot dog, and I never got full of them even at that price.
At first the price shocks you, it is spendy but very much worth it. They serve hot dogs with a homemade chili. THe staff is so friendly, very cool people. Their loosemeats are great as well!
Ok, now who in SC has never gone to Milwaukee Wiener, which has been around since the beginning of time. OK, maybe not, but since I was a kid. Which to me is the beginning of time. Same wieners, chili, even bottles of pop. Cherry, orange, grape, and you drink it with a straw. Even the faces that run the place... More
