I had the hummus sandwich and cabbage soup which was very good, but my husband was disappointed with the pork sandwich and side salad. The portion was like a slider. The service was very slow at lunchtime. Prices were reasonable. Will try it again

from great to terrible...all in the same night... repeated each visit...some really good tastes and then some not

Other than occasional slow service and weak pasta dishes, Motley Cow is a treasure. On a good night, the food at the Cow is the best in Iowa City and rivals great restaurants on the coasts and Chicago. Brunch is great too, as are the cocktails. My husband and I love Motley Cow!

Just returned from dinner at the Motley Cow. Good food, but the service was TERRIBLY slow. I don't blame our waiter, who seemed attentive enough, I just think they were understaffed. I'd like to return, although my wife says she never will. This seems to be a perpetual problem
