Great Dinner. Wonderful waitress. Great Ambience. Worth seeing. Great old mansion. Recommend Highly.
The mansion was open to look around in, but many places were closed off and there were things just falling apart. The service was very slow. I went in a group of 12. They sat us not in the nice mansion part but in a crappy side room that looked like it used to be a porch. Totally not expecting...

My wife loves old homes and history, so I chose this restaurant for her recent birthday. The building is incredible and our food and service were terrific. We particularly enjoyed wandering around the restaurant after our meal.
I had dinner at the Tippecanoe Restaurant while in South Bend on a business trip and was so pleased to find this gem! I am an aficionado of old homes of the late 19th century and was so excited to be able to experience this home in all its glory. The food was superb, I had the evening special which...

Food was good and you still get the feel for the old Studerbaker mansion! If you would like a elegant resteraunt this is the place for you!
The food is excellent and the proces are very reasonalble, but the self-guided tour of the Tippecanoe Place/Studebaker Mansion alone is worth seeing. I definite must-see if going to South Bend. The staff is very freindly and accomodating. http://tippe.com/
We had an excellent Easter Sunday brunch! So many items to chose from, and everything was outstanding. Our server was great. We have been there for many Sunday brunches and enjoyed each one - also the dinners are outstanding.
Having people out of town, I decided to take them to a beautiful, historical home for the tour and a nice meal. The first time, we sat in the porch, waiting for lunch, prior to plane departures. Our meal was brought to a tray, located about 20' way from us. After waiting an hour, I brought the food over to...

We were seated in the very back and it seemed like it used to the be the covered back patio. It was freezing! They had plugged in two portable heaters,...

Food was great. I had the filet mignon, and boyfriend had the New York strip. After dinner, we took a tour (unguided) of the Studebaker mansion. It was very interesting to see all of the rooms and pictures on the walls, along with the oldest working elevator in Indiana.
