Great choice in New Castle. Service was good and food was really good. Pizza dough is very light and fluffy. Pasta was very good as well. Calamari was delicious. Caprese salad was delightful.

Best Pizza ever! Not too much sauce or salt. I had the okie dokie artichokie and my husband had the hungry chief. His has so much meat he couldn’t finish a small pizza. Highly recommended! We had come once before and we were a little...iffy on a return visit as my risotto was under cooked but very glad we came back.More
We've eaten here several times - good Italian food. Our latest dinner there, my husband had pan-seared salmon over spaghetti with a butter garlic sauce; I had spaghetti with marinara sauce. Both delicious! Beer and other alcoholic drinks are available. Our ( a new) waitress,...Maddie, did a great job, eager to be sure we had a nice dining experience. We also had calamari as an appetizer. Our grandchildren weren't with us, but they love it too! Primo is great for a family dinner too.lMore
This restaurant on Broad Street in New Castles up-and-coming downtown area had the best meal I've had in ages. The salmon was perfectly done and tender, the risotto was the perfect stage of creamy doneness, the vegetables were just right. The service was as good...as it gets.More
A great value in an otherwise unknown spot in New Castle. Management and all employees have always treated me with the upmost respect. The food has usually been fantastic 9/10 and in the very few instances something has come up that I didn't like, it...was immediately resolved. Employees and management have always been severely understanding, and the second I feel like something is under their basic necessity, it is almost immediately resolved. This is a cheap, fine class dining experience that New Castle has yet to realize that it deserves.More
Had a very nice lunch, but a bit pricey. Had a sausage in marinara sandwich on ciabatta bread. It was excellent. Side was tomato basil soup. It was okay but won't order it again. Will get side salad. It looked wonderful. Service was great. Nice...surroundings. Will go back.More
I have been here several times and I have always had a great meal. It is unfortunately never full. A few times we went, it was almost empty. The service is always good and food portions is another good reason to go. There are not...a lot of food options in New Castle, so go give this a try!More
The food at Primo keeps improving. If you haven’t tried it in awhile you seserve another visit. Great look place to get a cocktail and brunch on Sunday.
Took my wife and kids for the brunch. We made reservations but didn’t seem to matter. The food was disappointing to say the least. Mostly cold, and not refilled as needed. We had eaten here one other time and it wasn’t much better. Way too...expensive.More
$16 for some noodles and 6 small shrimp. Not worth it. Ice tea served in small glasses with lots of ice..had to be refilled after only 2 or 3 tugs on the straw. Waitress did not keep up. Chicken parmesan was served with pasta and...was a large portion. Both dishes tasted great. Music was awful. All I could hear was a thumping muffled bass.More
They had a very wide selection of breakfast and lunch items available for a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.
It’s nice to have a great, local place to eat in NC. Good value, great food, fun times. Now you can pop into the Twin Lions wine bar before or after dinner as well. It beats the same old feed bag options in town hands...down.More
We were in New Castle for the Broad Street Cruise In. While looking at all the cars, trucks, and motorcycles, we saw Primo's and decided to go there for dinner. All went well - got our drinks and appetizer quickly. Then waited, and waited, and...waited for our food for a party of 4. After 45 minutes, and seeing another party seated, served, and nearly finished, I found the server and asked about our food and she said it was "next up". Another 10-15 minutes later, we got our food - two primo salads, and two flatbread sandwiches. The food was very good (loved the bleu cheese vinaigarette dressing on the Primo salad). A few minutes later, our server came over and said since she had to cover the bar too, she failed to get our order into the kitchen in a timely manner and brought over two slices of cake on the house (can recommend the lemon blueberry cake!). That was nice, but she really should have come over as soon as she realized our order was not put in, and offer a cup of soup or something. So if I could, I would give separate ratings of the food vs. the service. We would try this restaurant again to try one of the pasta entrees, and hope that our first experience was just a fluke.More
My husband and I love coming to this sweet Italian restaurant in Newcastle. The Primo salad is excellent, and the baked spaghetti is a standard. Couple that with a nice bar selection, great service, and I can't figure out why you would leave unhappy!
I was really surprised that a nice place like this was located in a dead town such as New Castle Indiana. I walked in the back door because Broad St. where the restaurant is located is closed for repair. When I walked in I was...so surprised this existed. I met an old friend that I had graduated high school with. He and I neither live in New Castle any longer. I ordered Mushroom ravioli in a white cream sauce that was excellent. It came with a breadstick. He ordered Spaghetti Bolognese.. He also said his plate was good. I was quite impressed by this place. The service was prompt.More
