On the recommendation of our hotel concierge we strolled over to this trendy seafood establishment. Even though it was quite impossible to get a Saturday night dinner reservation we discovered that one could be seated in the bar area with the same menu of fresh fish and shellfish. The fish and chips was light and crunchy with good cole slaw... More

My wife and I came here for our 2nd wedding anniversary and it exceeded every expectation. I had heard great things about Shaw's but was blown away by the quality of the food. Sure, the price is high, but it's not as bad as some of the other marquee restaurants in Chicago, and the food is better. My wife and... More

You name it and Shaw's has got it. We stuffed on oysters first. Then we split 2 pounds of Red King Crab Legs 3 ways. We could hardly finish. Elegant service is difficult in a very crowed place but they achieved it.

Great meal. I had the king crab -it was worth the $60 cost-delicious! Desserts were great-the chocolate cake is one of the best I've ever eaten. Strongly recommend this restaurant.

If you want to feel like you are in a time capsule, this is the place!! The decor is incredible!! The food is good, but you really pay for it. Not a place to be budget conscious. We paid $100 for lunch (incl tip) which was 6 oysters appie, a lobster roll, a seafood main, 1 glass of wine and... More

We go here every year for a party of 80 and have been for many years. The level of servce and the quality of food. It's amazing. You would expect delays with large groups, but they have service down to a "t." excellent food, excellent drinks, excellent staff.

Shaw's has a huge menu with tons of choices. They even have an entire sushi menu if you're so inclined. We started with the Grand Hot Shellfish Platter ($65) so we could try a lot of different items. It had crab spring rolls (decent), calamari (good), mini crab cakes (tiny but yummy), French fried shrimp (delicious and plentiful) and oysters... More

Shaw's makes a carzy-good Manhattan, I had more than I should have, but I couldn't pass up a second round. Steamed shellfish combo was a wonderful start. Found the steamed shellfish entrees to be a little bit over cooked, especially that king crab legs. Don't pass up the potatoes au gratin, they are out of this world! Scollops were really... More

I reserved three restaurants for my recent business trip to Chicago. After eating my first night at Shaw's, I cancelled my other two restaurants and returned again and again. All three nights the service was excellent. The first night I had halibut as an entrée, and it was superb. The second night I had tuna as an entrée and it... More

We took our chances and walked in at 6:00PM on a Saturday night and were delighted to get in for a quick dinner prior to going to the theater. Although seated in the bar at a high top table, we had the same excellent service that we've had in the Oyster Bar or Dining Room in the past. The oysters... More
