I was in Chicago on business and was lucky enough to get a table - although it was quite late before we made our way there. Menu consists of items such as duck tongue, pig cheek and various other strange concoctions. However do not let that put you off. There were 3 of us and we ordered about 8 dishes... More

My daughter, who is a foodie, was salivating for weeks before we went, with reservations months in advance. Service was excellent, waitress instrumental in ordering. We ended up with 6 small plates, most very good, some excellent. You have to be willing to experiment with new foods. Glad I went, not sure I would go again. Very pricey, once you... More

Came here with friends after booking on OpenTable three months in advance. I was worried about the early (5:00) dinner time, but overall the experience was impeccable. Even at the early dining hour, the place was packed -- but still comfortable. Our server offered helpful and insightful suggestions on food given our preferences, and even offered very good suggestions off... More

I can't say much that other reviewers haven't already said. This is one of the best places I have ever been to for sharing a meal with foodie friends at a communal table. I wasn't surprised at all to see Marcus Samuelson and his entourage leaving as we walked in Saturday night. Four of us (after having an earlier meal... More

Let me start by admitting that I have a serious aversion to restaurants that are so noisy you're tempted to text your dining companions rather than try to be heard over the noise. Girl and the Goat is one of those restaurants. It's typical of the restaurants on that part of Randolph. I also had very high expectations as we... More

Every visit is a spectacular surprise. Menu keeps changing, and every change is exceptional. Strange sounding items each wows the diner. Hanen't had one disappointment in four visits.

So many unique dishes. Very different than the average restaurant. It isn't easy to get into but if you want to wait or get reservations. Its worth it! Yum!

Now I'm not the most adventurous diner around and normally stick to the tried and true with only a few forays into the unknown, but dining at The Girl and the Goat changed all that. And what a delightful experience it was! Escargot ravioli, fat bread, duck tongues, goat neck, potato wontons, and, believe it or not, "life changing" green... More

I took my wife to the Girl & the Goat for her birthday. Knowing how in-demand this place is, I made a reservation about a month and a half ahead of time. Although they do have walk-in seating, we've been trying to get in there for some time and I wanted to make sure we could get a table. It... More

If you're able to go and there are only 2 of you it is a must that you request the chef's table...no extra cost...they have 2 tables for 2 set at the kitchen window...crazy experience to watch all of the dishes prepared before we ate them and to interact with the staff...Allison, Raul, and Michelle were super cool and engaged...
