We loved this restaurant and in particular the waiter. Sardines. Black ink homemade pasta. Excellent wine. Beautiful patio.

Sombody who says this is the best place in Venice has obviously not eaten anywhere else but Tavernetta. The Restaurant is at best very mediocre and profiting by the location near the Hotel. Excelsior. It is better to eat in Venice and use the Hotel shuttle; there seems little choice of Restaurants on the Lido, but we have not tried...

This family owned and run restaurtant was well worth the walk, building up an appetite for a most beautiful lunch. On arrival we were welcomed and given an excellent outline of the dishes available. My colleague and I shared a sea bass which was exception it just melted full of flavour in ones mouth. My colleagues starter was a pasta...

Good menu, attentive staff, well cooked apart from a red wine sauce that was disappointing and marred the quality of the beef; fish courses really excellent.

Ristorante la tavernetta I think one of the best restaurant in Venice. Shortly it was awesome the food was very tasty behaviour of waiter was very friendly. We enjoyed our dinner so much.

We visited La Tavernetta and attempted to enjoy our first Venetian meal there, the restaurant is over advertised, over priced, the food tasted cheap and the preparation appeared rushed (We were the only diners!).
We ordered two portions of fillet beef barded with bacon, the beef was chewy, fatty and very unevenly cooked and the bacon was literally two small...
