Service, service and more service. These staff members certainly make you feel welcome. From drinks in the friendly bar to a very tasty dinner, all at an great price.
Food was good, service ok, bottles of wine at $10 a good value. I bought gift cards (Visa with 25$ limits, but I had about 40 of them(gifts from vendors I buy from)) and Driftwood Bistro would NOT let us use them to pay for the meal. Didnt have that problem with restaurants in Brunswick or elsewhere on the Island.... More
We stopped in on our way to the Motown Christmas show at the convention center. We arrived at 5:45 and had to wait 30 minutes for a table. Not a problem as we got drinks in the bar. Cocktails were pricey like they are everywhere on the islands (8.50), but the sand dollar is a yummy martini. Four of us... More
Not many choices for dining on Jekyll, but this one was recommended by the hotel's staff. And actually they were right. Set hours for lunch and dinner.
The Driftwood Bistro was recommended by the front desk at our hotel. It was an excellent recommendation. The food was first rate and the bottle of wine that we could take back with us if we didn't finish it was perfect. The driftwood art on the walls was great and reasonably priced. All in all a wonderful experience!
Good food, good prices, good service, warm atmosphere, full belly! $10 bottles of wine! What more can one ask for? Also, vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options,( limited but available none the less).
food was great, portions were ok in size, staff was friendly but thought the entire place needed a bit of an over haul. My group all had fun and had a decent dinner, may go back when we return
Lets see...blackened shrimp on grits; smashed fried okra is divine...everything is really good and the prices are reasonable, besides there are not a whole lot of dining alternatives on Jekyll Island.
My wife and I ate here our last day on the island and I wish we would have earlier. It was awesome. I had the best french dip I have ever had and I always order it when It's on the menu. My wife had a burger and she loved it as well. The french dip was so juicy and... More
We came here for lunch and it wasn't very crowded. A guy just slowly walked out from the kitchen and put menus down. No hello, no smile, nothing. We ordered and it took a long time to get our food. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't anything to write home about and the service was lacking. So, overall, just... More
