My husband and I always visit this gem whenever we visit Venice. We've been on three separate occasions, all for breakfast although they serve lunch and dinner too, and have never been disappointed. It is a small restaurant with lots of charm, although the small kitchen can sometimes take a little longer than you might like to get your meals... More

My wife and I just popped in here on a whim for dinner because a friend had recommended it to us and we are so thrilled that we did. Staff was incredibly friendly, atmosphere was nice, and the food was out of this world. We will be recommending this restaurant to all of our friends and family.

We popped into this little place on Sunday for lunch! What a surprise! Service was outstanding. Food was excellent, and this place was hopping, yet the servers worked as a team. The grouper special was prepared to perfection, and the fruit salad accompanying it had fresh blueberries and blackberries. Wonderful and light. Everything is fresh and prepared to taste. We... More

I was extremely impressed by the brunch we had during a fossiling trip. You would not know it from the outside, but Blu Island Bistro is a gem, with shabby-chic décor and a welcoming feel. My husband and I have different tastes and sometimes don't agree on restaurants, but this spot suited both of us to a tee....he loved his... More

Chef Alan, Kim and the entire staff - Kudos for one of the best 5 Course dinners we've ever shared. From the House Made Mozzarella w/Prosciutto, paired with Lamarca Proscecco to the blackend sea scallops w/cucumber dill salsa, pretzel crusted grouper, seared filet with mushroom balsamic shallot demi glaze, to the grand finale chocolate mousse cake with raspberries paired with... We had read so many good reviews about this place we thought we would try it out. We got there just a few minutes after 11:00 am so we were able to order off the lunch and breakfast menu. My wife had the Blu salad and I had short stack of pancakes and bacon. The breakfast was good. Did a... More

We have had both breakfast and lunch and we will return. Everything is fresh, creatively prepared and presented. The prices are quite reasonable considering the quality. Fresh ingrediants like blackberries and giant blueberries in the fruit salad with chopped mint. Homemade potato chips are light, crunchy and not greasy--delicious! This is a great place!! You should try it :)

What a great, refreshing experience! Never knew it was there until I saw it on TripAdvisor. A full dining room for a Monday lunch should tell you something. The fish tacos were absolutely wonderful! Great, friendly, efficient staff even though they were busy. Love the personal touch, Alan! Meeting your patrons is always a thoughtful way to make us feel... More

Having lived the area for five years I can't believe I just discovered this fantastic place!! It is the best!! The decor is so charming- kind if 50's old Florida with a modern twist. The food was so good and fresh cool eclectic ingredients were added to favorite dishes. Still very unpretentious. I got the blt with fried green tomato-... More
