I was house shopping in Venice and my realtor took me here for a lunch break. I had never had Thai food and I wanted to try it. This place has burgers, fries, bar food and an amazing Thai menu. Walking in, the place just smelled yummy, so I could not wait to eat. They had levels of heat to... More

We had Thai takeout from this restaurant and it was probably the best food we had in Florida. It actually had some flavor!! We had to travel to the restaurant to place our order as they were too busy to take phone orders (good sign). We had fun sitting at the bar while we waited the 20 to 30 mon... More

Had dinner here a couple of months ago while renting in Venice. What a surprise...a sports bar that offered Thai food!! It was delicious, a shared veggie pad thai along with spring rolls. We used chopsticks, as Asian food doesn't taste right when eaten with a fork, and got many curious looks from the diners around us.

Enjoyed the sports bar and excellent beer selections. The food was diverse with emphasis on Thai food, which was well-prepared and tasty. .

We hit this place a couple of times to make sure it was consistently good - and it is. Many sports bars are too crowded, too noisy and, frankly, a bit dumpy. The Sand Tap is just the opposite; it is nicely appointed, with enough tables and comfy booths and is convivial but not boisterous. The food is well above... More

The two menus tell you what a strange combo this place is. This is an American sports bar complete with burgers, fries, reubans, wings, etc. and a Thai restaurant all crammed around a large u-shaoed bar. Very very busy place. Reservations are not accepted for small parties so you have to wait or eat at the bar. We opted for... More

We have been here a number of times and the food is excellent. They have 2 menus:Thai and regular and between the 4 of us we've had it all. I love the traditional Thai, significant other loves the super hot Thai and parents love the burgers, blackened fish sandwich, lobster roll and fish and chips. Only drawback,is no liquor, just... I think the owner of this place would be well-advised to stay at home. Everything is good expect for her. We had the unfortunate "pleasure" of sitting up front. She haunted us the entire time leering and snapping at employees. She obviously didn't like children (she took the little jelly packets away from our 2-yr old who was playing with... More

I must say I was a bit sceptical when friends mentioned this food concept; however, it was good. i had a wonderful Thai dinner & my wife had a lobster roll. Both much to our liking. The thai was very good. They had a good crowd. The only downside is no liquor, only wine & beer. The decor was typical... More
