The atomsphere is unique. It should never be changed or, God forbid, updated. The service ranges from very good to excellant, our waiter last Friday was excellant; he provided attentive service with a great personality. The smallest chateaubriand was melt in your mouth tender. This cut is hard to find but is exceptional. For the price of your steak you get... More

First of all, I don't eat steak, so one might think...why go to a steakhouse? Well, the rest of my family does, and all enjoyed their 3 different cuts of meat: Delmonico, chateaubriand, and sirloin. All raved about how the meat was perfectly cooked and melted in your mouth. With the restaurant so acclaimed for its steak, I was worried... More

I'm lucky that I live in Tampa so I can eat here fairly often. It's not expensive, since your $40 steak dinner includes absolutely everything you could want - soup, salad, vegetables and starch. That said, I do recomment the Okinawan Purple Sweet Potato - amazing. And, ask for one of Trebor's tables (that's Robert spelled backwards) for a fun... More

We loved our night, dining at Bern's!! It was one of those special occasion dining experiences, that we will never forget! We started off with cocktails, our meal with so many courses and wine, I can't remember. Followed by a very interesting tour of the kitchen and unbelievable wine cellar. Then we finished the night off, going upstairs to the... More

Overall, I enjoyed my dining experience and will return. The food was excellent, though the server was a bit impatient and seemed annoyed that my husband and I had one or two questions prior to ordering. Appreciated the opportunity to tour the kitchen and wine cellar.

Bern's never fails to excel and continues as one of the best restaurants in the country. Their meats are amazing, they serve you "all you can eat" bread and vegetables, and their meals are four course included in the price. (appetizer, soup, salad, entree). Their wine cellar (and list) is considered one of, if not THE, largest restaurant cellar in... More

Originally from Tampa and returning home for a conference, this was one of two restaurants(the other is the Columbia) I recommended to other attendees and got positive comments. I took my wife and youngest son here for our last nite in town. Overall, it was good, but I must say that the dessert portion was much better than the meal... More

One of Tampa's finest. The steaks melt in your mouth. Huge wine selection. Tours of the wine cellar and the kitchen is available upon request. The dessert room is a must!

The restaurant has an interesting history. Huge wine selection. The steak selection is no joke. The fare is on the pricey side an the decor is a bit on the lavish/stuffy side. You are given a tour of the kitchen and wine cellar after your main meal. If you like dessert, you are escorted upstairs to a different section with... More

The steak, wine and dessert room were excellent. Everything else was disappointing. Service was mediocre; salad contained iceberg lettuce and not much else. French onion soup was similar to anywhere else. Our waiter made no recommendations and took a long time to wait on us even though we arrived early and the restaurant was not yet crowded. This is a...
