Our first stop on Sanibel, as soon as we get over the causeway, is Gramma Dot's. We generally have a long day of traveling from the mountains of Colorado, to Sanibel, as there is not a direct flight from Denver to Ft. Myers. We hold off eating a large airport meal, just to save room for Gramma Dot's. Their Mesquite... More

Grandma Dot's has been on Sanibel a long time. Most of the staff are old-timers, pleasant and efficient. The saloon is on the water by the Yacht Club. The seating is mainly screened in and very pleasant. There are a few outdoor seats. They serve draft and bottled beer and wine. The menu is good with adeqate choices, plenty of... More

Very good food, coconut shrimp fried perfectly and good size. The key lime pie has small pieces of the lime in it. Yum best ever. They make their own chips and they are delicious. Atmosphere is good if you like marinas. Service very good. Enjoy it! More

We were in Sanibel a few weeks ago and managed to find Grandma Dot's on Trip Advisor, a very well run restaurant with nice views and lots of charm, First the food, I had Grouper about 4 different times over our vacation and this was the best with a chili lime seasoning, good slaw and a nice lemonade. The atmosphere... More

This is one of our favorite restaurants on Sanibel. The seafood is incredible. During a week on Sanibel, we probably eat here 3 or 4 times. More

Every year when we vacation on Sanibel, we dine 1st night and last lunch at Grand Ma's. The food is always great and the staff accommodating. A fun place, moderately priced and good basic island fare. I have read some bad reviews but in ten years we have NEVER had a bad meal, rude staff or little fun. My take,... More

Food was excellent! It was beautiful in the evening at sunset with all of the boats/yachts docked. I wish we would have visited earlier, so we could have eaten there one more time! More
