The first time we went we sat in the very basic restaurant part on the deck. The second time we were near the bar, which was a lively scene and noisy. The food was okay and it was a good spot to be with family and enjoy the scenery.

Great location for partying on the beach. Good selection of tropical bar drinks and standard bar offerings. Menu emphasis is on simple seafood dishes.

The main draw of Blue Parrot is its location. It's right on the beach and practically every table has a view and outdoor seating. A great outdoor restaurant that overlooks the sandy beach and the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico on St. George Island. The best tables are in the tiki bar area. The food was very good of fresh oysters on the half shell and oyster basket at Blue Parrot. The only restaurant we know of that had outdoor setting...

They have a really nice beachfront location. The service was excellent (Thanks Kandle!) and food was really good. The Calamari was great. We will definately be going back.

We ate there late, 9:00pm, one evening. The kitchen closes at that time, but we had guests coming and they accomodated our late requests. The portions were huge and cooked to perfection. The drinks were good as well!

My husband ordered a fried seafood platter and seemed pleased with it. I ordered the stuffed shrimp, being advised that one of the sides listed on the menu for the stuffed shrimp (a baked potato) was only available after 4pm. Went with the veggies and cheese grits for sides. Shrimp and stuffing tasted like it had been coated in lime...

This is not the kind of place that we really feel welcome. More for the young crowd (and we saw many that were trying to score drinks, with the "Oh..I forgot my ID" story they kept telling the bartender who had obviously heard it many times before.
If you like "spring break" style atmosphere...you will like it here. No food...
