The food is very good, it's open until late and if you are a sushi lover, you will have quite a treat.
This is not a fancy place, nor is it a diner. Come as you like! Open very late. The sushi is always on point. The short ribs are very savory. We don't really go for the hot entrees. Its really about the sushi here. We have eaten here often, and sometimes very late (1-2am) and amazed to see how busy... More
Nice to go back after - about 15+ years... was how we remembered- the service was great as we remembered. ordered a variety of yaktori ( Mini skewers ) from quail eggs, to sea scallops, and chicken wings, but they didn't not have the chicken heartys or gizzards.. the scallops were great, although pricey at 4.50. a fav was the... Located in a strip mall with the standard non descript hygienic dark decor. Quick random service- invariably they serve one person minutes before or after others. However some of their dishes are unite nice and prices are fair. Good cold beer too.
This has been my Gal's get together place for at least 9 years. I love this place! is a whole in the wall but has a lot to offer. The sushi and rolls dishes they have are traditional but by far more delicious than most trendy expensive places out there! They keep it simple, the menu has barely changed since... More
I always go here when staying in Surfside. You cannot beat the food prices for what you get. Must try the chef's daily 6 which changes frequently and the angel hair pasta with uni and salmon eggs. Also love the crispy bok choy.
This place will tell you that they are Hiro's Yakko-san (great place) which is up the street in the Old Navy plaza. They however are not a great place, it is terrible. The place looks like something out of a bad 80's movie and the service and food are on par with the decor. Avoid this place!
Great Sushi with very special rolls not found in many areas. Great ambiance and the sushi bar is very big and part of the experience here. Place has a club like ambience and trendy. If you havent stopped in, check it out, you wont go wrong!
Took out dinner to our hotel, but ate ther as well other times. Nice aromas and atmosphere made us start with drinks and appetizers while we waited for our takeout order. Good variety of sushi, with fresh fish and no sparing on the expensive ingredients. I hate it when you get gunkans stingy on the Ikura or rolls with 99%... More
Sushi was worse we ever had... so far. I'm not sure if it was a freshness issue. The pieces of fish were small, the rolls large... Huge amount of rice compared to fish portion in the roll. It looked different than any other sushi rolls because of this. We did not eat most of it. Very disappointing, as we went... More
