Had lunch here after visiting the Edison - Ford Estates. The crab cakes and salads were excellent. Had Key Lime pie for dessert, also excellent. The service was excellent. No problems. Would go back again. Would be a very nice place to go for a romantic meal. Old Victorian atmosphere. Also have patio dining.

My sister has been coming to visit me for years from Chcago and each time she leaves, i tell her the next time she comes, we're going to the Veranda. She's heard me talk about what a wonderful experience it is to dine there and that I consider it a "special occasion" restaurant. We finally made it there a few... More

The Veranda is my very favorite place. We go for special occasions and when we have out of town guests. The service and food are superb. It reminds me of Mary Mahoney's in Biloxi, MS, another reason I love it. We had Mother's Day there and as always it was the greatest.

We’ve now lived in the Fort Myers area for about six months and had heard nice things about The Veranda. Well, we finally got there and are very glad we did because it was a fine experience from beginning to end. The term “old Florida” was often used in descriptions. Entering the restaurant, it feels like you’ve walked into someone’s... More

Beautiful surroundings, very good food for lunch, service slow due to no show of one server. This is a charming dining experience with two old houses and a center courtyard so dining can be in or outside. Lunch seems to attract business community and can get very busy. Soups and salads were excellent. Get there early!

If nothing else this is the place to celebrate the wedding anniversary. We have gone once and had our picture taken and could easily make this an annual tradition. Don't look at the prices and go for it. The wait staff is the real deal, tuxedo's, bow ties, and French accents. And there are at least three per table. Wonderful,... More

Surprised by waiters in tux's a sight one never sees in Fl . Food was outstanding ,but a little pricey .excellent gracious but not stuffy service . Incredible decor of early 1900 or late 1800s. Surprised to learn that they have been in business for 32 years ,so they are doing it right. We were dressed casually and were not... More

We went to this restaurant after reading the good reviews, in some rankings it was "the best restaurant in Ft Myers". Well, was maybe in the 1970s! We arrived and we could smell the humidity problem the place has, that was a HUGE turn off. The waiters were wearing tuxedos in FL in August! I suffered for them. The food... More

This was an interesting restaurant. We were walked to our table through the expediting window and there were trays of salads all around us. Very unsanitary and off-putting. Most of the entrees are served with the same sides; mashed potatoes out of a frosting bag, one piece of broccoli. The meat was well prepared, but the fish my guest got... More
