Went this past Friday night with husband, daughter & her friends. What a cute little dive on the beach! Fish tacos are fantastic :) definitely a don't miss! One member of our party got the "famous" fish & chips, have to admit they were very yummy but I'm pretty sure the fish tacos were even better. They have two types,... More

Service was good and friendly, their signature dish Fish and Chips was just okay and pricey, some other reviewer had it right when they said kind of "mushy" and not firm. Wife had a salad which was average and priced over $11. Right across the road from the ocean, has a good beach vibe and has a old school Florida... More

The Golden Lion Cafe is located directly across the street from Flagler Beach. There's plenty of seating and a sandy floor! They had an awesome band, The Swanky Mo's, a 70s revue band who was a total blast! It sucks that they had to shut down at 10. We had to beg three times for a waiter, which was awful.... More

We enjoyed our rooftop deck lunch, service was very good and they have some nice recipes for fish. It's worth a visit for sure.

Loved the atmosphere. Sand dancing area, tiki huts, rooftop deck, raw bar, great signature drinks, but mediocre food. Last year the hamburger was the best ever, this year (April 2013), not so good, must have changed cooks. Locals suggested the Turtle Shack, we will try that next visit.

We are locals and took some family members here for a late lunch/early dinner. Sat on the rooftop deck and had less than good service, but that seems to be the norm at the Golden Lion. We ordered our drinks and received all of them except for an ice water that we asked for alongside a beer. Asked for it... More

The Fish and chips was expensive and not good. The breading was deep fried and ok but the fish was all mush. I guess they use and cheap and not a good firm fish. A small plastic cup with draft beer was over $3.50 each. About a 1/2 bottle. This was one of favorite places years ago but never again... More

This place was great! There was live entertainment. An outdoor and indoor seating area, outdoor tiki bar, and gift shops. There was a little bit of a wait for our table but it flew by because the live entertainment was great. Really decent drink specials. Our food was amazing. My friend and I shared the fish and chips. She had... More

I've been to the "GL" many times but nothing ever really impressed me other than their bands and the beach view, but this time was different and it was the service. Kent was our waiter and he was spot-on! He was prompt, professional, fun, and he just got it done. Well done! The food was good, not spectacular, but we... More

Everyone's experience is different and they claim award winning for 20 years, but we found the service to be slow, fried fish to be greasy and rooftop seating to be uncomfortable. The view is amazing upstairs! When your credit card disappears with the waitress for 10 min, it's a bit disconcerting...all in all a disappointing experience!
