Stayed w/ friends in Englewood who introduced us to Café 776. Fabulous mound of fish and chips: enough for a few meals, the way I eat. Very casual atmosphere. Get there early or there will be a wait during busy season.

Love Cafe 776 in Englewood Fla. The fish, shrimp and scallops are so good, I wish they would open one in New England. The portions are not small so make sure you are hungry, I always bring my family when I am visiting the area.. go early to get a seat, so you don't wait an hour or more..

Several years back you had to wait for a table and you did because the food was so good. New owners, a cut-back on quality and the crowds disappeared. We are hoping that the lesson has been learned and they will upgrade the experience.

Love this place. Return every year. Always busy though so plan ahead. Also do take out which is a good option.
