I live in St. Augustine and make the drive weekly to have a great meal with the wonderful folks at Don Vito's. I work hard and going out to dinner has to be an enjoyable experience. It is like a mini vacation to go to Don Vito's Italian restaurant! I have tried almost everything on the menu, and every dish... More

I had veal marsala - it was so good, and everyone I had dinner with really enjoyed their meals too. Lots of good thick sauce, really great meatballs. Excellent service from this couple who stayed open a little later for us - the whole restaurant was ours! Thanks for dinner - from the California baseball families!

My Husband & I had Mother's Day Dinner at our favorite Italian Restaurant. We always know that the wine and the food will be fantastic. The staff is the best because it is all family. We are always treated like we are Family. The lasagne was the best and my husband enjoyed his veal francaise. Never forget the homemade tiramisu.... More

The food at Don Vito's was excellent and the staff were more then accomidating. Barbara went out of her way to make our ROTC team feel like family. We had over 70 people at her place and she closed the doors to her regular customers just for us and we were feed handsomely! The pizza we had for an appitizer... More

The best dish is the pizza, I have traveled all over and eaten in Italian restaurants from Italy to New York and San Francsico and everywhere inbetween. It is not my idea of great Italian food. Decor is old, restaurant could use some sprucing up - get rid of the old carpet and paint. Try Zappi's around the corner. By... More

We celebrated my nephew's graduation from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University at Don Vito's. The owners, Barbara and Jimmy, are wonderful. They do all their own cooking with the help of their children. I usually never eat eggplant when I am in a restaurant, but I tried their eggplant - it was delicious! And the meatballs were the best I ever... More

We decided to try Don Vito based on the trip advisor reviews, and we weren't disappointed. My husband and I shared a portion of garlic knots (delicious) and a margarita pizza. The pizza was huge, we took it home and finished it for lunch the next day! The staff were fantastic - very very friendly without being intrusive or over... More

Saw it as the No. 1 restaurant in Daytona and had to try it. No. 1 may be stretching it a bit, but it was very good. Our group had eggplant parm, chicken parm and shrimp scampi. All were excellent. Garlic knots were an excellent starter. The service was prompt. The music blasting was a little too much. All in... More
