My husband and I ate here for the first time this evening. Upon entering the eatery I was confident that I would enjoy my meal because it smelled so delicious inside. The atmosphere is quirky, the tables and space are small, but those are the only negatives. The service was efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable. The fried mozzarella appetizer was 2... More

This restaurant is the tiny package with the huge gift inside. My husband and I were both thrilled with the atmosphere as well as the delicious dishes. As we waited for our food (freshly prepared) we were entertained by the eclectic, homey surroundings that included many items from our childhood and young adult years. Our server was attentive yet unobtrusive.... More

We ate at Luigi Vitrone's Pastabilities after a visit to Winterthur that was cut very short by hideous Memorial Day weekend traffic. We'll never drive I-95 on a holiday again, but we'll go back to the museum & would most certainly dine here in the future. The neighborhood is not chi-chi, but we felt perfectly safe walking to & from... More

In a rough area, so bring protection! Also, food is way too heavy with garlic. Atmosphere is strange -mix of neon and linens? Service however is pretty decent. Not a place I would ever go to again....oh and it too expensive!

I ate here with my daughter. The ambiance of the restaurant is early Marilyn Monroe. It's a very cool little restaurant, with early 60s memorabilia all over. The service is very good. The pastas and sauces and traditional meatballs and sausages were very delicious and definitely homemade. The salad was also very fresh and had some wonderful local ingredients. The... More

We went on a Saturday night, expecting great Italian food as per all of the reviews on the internet as well as Zagat. We had the spiced apple soup as an appetizer...although it was good, it would have been better presented as a dessert course. I ordered the Hunters Cannelloni and my partner ordered the Veal Valdostino. Both entrees were... More

First time visiting, ordered appetizer and seafood and pasta for the main course and unfortunately, was very disappointed with the quality of the food. Pastabilities came highly rated from our friends, and it is always possible that Luigi had an off nite. We love Italian and have tried some of the best, but tonite was just bad.

Like going to an old friends house for dinner, Luigi welcomes his dinner guests to a table. The food is unrivaled in ingenuity and freshness. The flavors dance in your mouth for hours afterward. Have never been dissapointed with a trip to Luigi Vitrone's Pastabilities, and doubt I ever will be.

This place is small. You definitely need a reservation, especially on a weekend. But they handled our party of eight quite well. They were waiting for us at the door as we walked in to the...kitchen. Yes, the entrance is through part of the kitchen. Two small dining rooms follow the kitchen. The rooms look nice and everyone seemed to... More
