Went for lunch on a really nice, sunny day and wanted to sit outside. The upper deck was open but the downstairs seating was closed. We were told by the hostess to "...just go upstairs to see if seating was available." REALLY??? We walked upstairs and no one even paid attention to us. Was told by a bartender to just... More

Great find during a short trip to Wilmington. Located on the river front (right in front of the Riverboat Queen), we sat up on the mezzanine overlooking the river in the sun. It was a hot spot for locals and tourists alike. The beer (brewed in the building) was average for a microbrewery, but the food was excellent. The menu... More

We last visited Iron Hill's Wilmington location in November and were not very pleased with that visit. This visit was better. Unfortunately, we visited (4/13) on the same day as a brew competition so it was very busy. Upon arriving around 6:30 pm, we were told we'd have an hour wait. The wait was close to 50 minutes but we... More

My wife and I have eaten at Iron Hill Wilmington many times. The place is huge and there is plenty of seating. It can get pretty crowded especially closer to the weekends, but they seem to have no problem accommodating everyone. The downstairs bar itself is rather small seating only a dozen or so around the bartender, but there are... More

I only ate in the bar so take that in mind. The main tables seem well secluded from the bar so the experience would be different. Great beers. I had their meatball pizza which was excellent. Only thing stopping me form going more was that it was not close to my hotel.

Stopped 4 lunch before an early movie. The place had just opened for lunch. Service was excellent. I had the crab cake sandwich with sweet potato fries. Cocktail sauce was good & tangy. If you like root beer , u must try theirs. Brewed there I'm told.

I've now eaten here a few times when visiting town on business. Got to meet the brewer on one visit, which was real fun. He has incredible passion for the work he is doing to supply the restaurant and it's guests with great home brews. Atmosphere here is very nice for a home brew type of restaurant. On good weather... Sweet Potato Fries. Dear sweet baby Jesus their sweet potato fries are absolutely to die for. Yes yes, they have an excellent beer selection (Raspberry Wheat and their Chocolate Beer are my faves) but I will continue to go back for their sweet potato fries. They are like steak fries and have 3 different dipping sauces. Their food is consistently... More

This place is not bad, but I think it's so popular because it's trendy. Food is ok and prices are a bit high. It's a nice looking restaurant and usually draws a hip crowd. t's not bad, but not one of my top picks.
