We leave early so as not to miss Café Papillon and that should tell you something! Get there early because everything is made fresh daily and when they're out, they're out. Pastries and crepes made by hand with love. Say hi to Maya and Jerome when you stop in. Don't miss this gem on Penny Lane!

In a word, wow. This, from a person who takes 3 days to bake baguettes in the traditional French manner, with separate builds and 6 hours start to finish on baking day. Eclairs made with house-made-from-scratch French custard. Croissants hand-rolled and baked on site. Generous portions of coffee. I think I died and went to heaven.

I shared the ham and cheese with the hubby. We watched the man make it the entire way. Very neat. We opted for pepper as seasoning. I had thought crepes were slightly crispy, but it's been many years since I've been to France. It was delicious!! We actually also picked up 2 croissant from them earlier, but I didn't realize... What more do you need to know? Stand in line. Get a crepe. Eat is standing up, because you won't get a table. Be happy. (I like fresh banana, cinnamon, and whipped cream.)

On a summer weekend you'll have to wait, but the crepes are worth it. Try going early on a weekday to enjoy the crepes without the wait.

Crepes like you get in Paris...thin and delicious...the salmon is the best, but also get the Nutella for desert.

Authentic french crepes prepared right in front of you by people from France. Filling choices include eggs, ham, cheese, fresh fruit, chocolate, tomatoes and more. Located in the Penny Lane shopping alley (first block from the boardwalk, btw. Rehoboth Ave. & Wilmington Ave.).

Every summer my husband and I have at least one meal at Papillon and last week it was breakfast. We turned down Penny Lane and I went to one window to order our crepes while my husband went to the other window for coffee. We shared one crepe with egg, smoked salmon, tomato and chives and another with nutella and... More

Found this gem two years ago when visiting Rehobeth for the first time. Took a weekend trip to Rehobeth again and stopped in at Cafe Papillon. Enjoyed the the strawberry, neutella, and creme crepe :) this place is a must to visit - quick service and delish!

The reviews here pretty much say it all. The crepes are delicious, and made to order in a very authentic French manner, while you watch. There's a good selection of sweet and savory crepes, and the ingredients seem to be fresh. We made it a special morning treat one day, and got up early during our lazy beach week. We... More
