This restaurant has a large menu of tapas and some mains per person. We had a party of 3 so ordered mostly tapas to share and hubby ordered a main - the suckling pig. The so-so dishes were the spinach and garbanzo bean cazuela and, unfortunately, the morel-asparagus dish. The latter didn't have enough morels. Things looked up with juicy... More

Go here often for special occassions and have yet to be disappointed. Love every single bite. The sangria is unbelievable!

Food was very good, authentic but a bit expensive for the portion sizes. Food comes as it is completed since food is ment to be shared. Not the place for a quick bite to eat but all the food is very good.

Everyone here is nice, the bartenders are great and the food is very good. They seem to like what they do and are interested in bringing in a crowd that appreciates it. It does get very crowded last in the night but if you get there early enough to get a table it is nice.

Our recent visit was fantastic. The wait staff was attentive but not intrusive. There is a good selection of tapas that changes periodically. Our party enjoyed old favorites like bacalao, patatas bravas, and jamon Serrano, with newer items like a humus with freshly made pita chips. The outdoor patio area is cozy and they fired up heaters as it became... More

One star for good (not great) service. One star for okay food. Our table of ~8 ordered a bunch of dishes, and I can't say I was particularly wowed by any of them. A couple of the dishes we ordered included: Chorizo + Sweet-Sour Figs - Chorizo tasted dry. Figs were all sweet and no sour. Blood sugar definitely spiked.... More

A fabulous stop in West Hartford to have a small plate festival of your own, 2-4-6 or more. Experience the Tapas and wine or order plates for many. Our waiter, Dave, was informative and helpful but others also pitched in to deliver the results of a pleasant experience. A busy place, make a reservation and do check this place out... More

Barcelona is a great tapas restaurant. There is a large selection of tapas and small grilled meat plates. The wine selection is extensive. Service is friendly and atentive without being overbearing. Wonderful place for a small group. Sunday was half price bottle of wine day( not sure it is still on but if it is it is definitely a bonus)!

Barcelona is the perfect place to "catch up" with a friend you haven't seen in awhile, and enjoy a nice, leisurely, good meal. None of the dishes stand out for me, the ones I've/we've had are all good. The wine selection is also very good. But the pace of the meal was what I enjoyed most - slow and steady....... More

The food here is excellent. I cannot give it 5 stars though as they crowd it too much. I have been to Barcelona winbars in New Haven and West Hartford and there is a noticeable difference in the ambience. It's worth the extra money it costs to park to be in New Haven
