The staff were very nice and the service pretty fast for the crowd we had. I would say the food was better than I thought it would be for a snack bar.
Seasonal joint, for the tourists. Fried fish, hot dogs, onion rings - nothing special. There are lots of other choices for lunch, so locals don't come here. Parking is tight, all outdoor seating at picnic tables, View of River is lovely.
We stopped here to get some fish and chips. The food was good but pretty expesinve. I think a large soda cost almost $3.00. The onion rings were real good. The view of Mystic sea port is nice. If you need a bathroom you will have to use the porta poty.
Stopped for a bite to eat after a nice afternoon in Mystic. Food service type onion rings, my shrimp plate was not impressive (medium shrimp - not that good and passable french fries. I have passed this place at least 30 times over the last 4-5 years... A 5 on a scale of 1 to 10. Next time, I'll keep... More
This shack was a great spot for a pit stop and 3:00 snack if you're in the area but not worth a major detour. Cold lobster roll was traditional ME style (with mayo) and generous portion. $15.99 is going rate. Quick service and gorgeous view of the water.
Let's start by saying, it's frozen food for the most part but taste good. The prices are just inflated! So, I only stopped because of convenience and we were starving. I would only recommend if you are limited with time. The burgers looked good. I had a whole belly clam role and it wasn't overfilled for 12.99. The clam fritters... More
Stopped by for a lobster roll. It was $17.00! I bought it anyway since I was splurging on vacation and I was there already. It wasn't quite worth the price, but it was big. Other people were getting the foot longs, which were $3.49 and were huge. The fried seafood looked good, but when does fried seafood not look good?.
A frequent stop for this "local" who enjoys a good cheesburger or fish sandwich. Their cousin is right next door at Twisters Ice Cream to dish up a great desert too. Parking can be a bit tight but its worth the effort.....
The basics on the menus like the dogs, burgers, fries and chicken tenders are frozen mass produced but all cooked very well. The seafood is where this place is at the fried haddock sandwich is delishious (and I hate fish!) and the clams are wonderful, we never leave here upset. The servers are always smiling and the view can't be... More
