After a recent lunch, my impressions were a little different than some of the reviews I had read. Food was mediocre - calamari soggy, pasta special ok. antipasto poor. For a place that is supposed to specialize in this type of food; very subpar. Service was great, attentive, friendly, etc. Just too bad the quality of the food did not... More

Mickey's has always been a great choice if you are looking for really good food and a friendly atmosphere. Don't go there as often as I should but I promised my friend that I would take him since I mention it so often and he agreed it should remain as a top neighborhood pick. The abundant mixed green salad was... More

My mother lives in Hamden and we've tried most restaurants in the area. Somehow we'd missed Mickey's, a friendly, reasonably priced Mediterranean restaurant with the best felafel I've ever had. Noisy bar scene -- they specialize in beers, not my thing, but they also have a fairly quiet back room away from the bar. I enjoyed my wine, pasta (a... More

We ate here this week and I was very surprised how good the food was. I was surprised because this particular location in Hamden CT has been operated by many people and it always had the reputation of a bar food joint where the food was average at best. The place is laid out like a bar primarily and the... More

This is the 2nd time we dropped by this restaurant for lunch. The food is fresh and the bread is incredible. We had a wonderful green salad and chicken sandwich that we shared. The service was great. We are seldom in this area but when we come by again we will definitely come for lunch. We don't live in this... More

I wrote a review over a year ago and thought I would update it as we have been very satisfied on many occasions. The other night we lost power and decided to go out to dinner at the last minute until the power came back on. We called and they gave us our favorite table. My husband had the salmon... More

Mickey's has been our favorite Hamden restaurant for several years. We have never been disappointed with service or food quality and presentation. Their soups are delicious and come to the table steaming hot, which seems like a given, but doesn't happen in other local restaurants. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy outdoor seating seasonally.

Always good service and good food. Wide range of choices on the menu. Courteous staff and pleasant surroundings. Love the bread that is from Bread and Chocolate down the street. Wonderful salads as well as entrees.

This a lovely restaurant with excellent service. I have many food allergies and this restaurant accomodated me with beautifully prepared food. So many times when I eat out I will get unseasoned, bland food as to avoid any problems with my allergies. The chief here is wonderful and creative so my meal was seasoned perfectly as well as being allergy... More

From the bread and olive oil.....to the calamari and delicious soups...to the braised short ribs and pasta dishes the food was outstanding. Terrific portions too....you won't go away hungry. My wife and I had an awesome dinner, salad didn't come with the dinner, we didn't have room for desert and our bill with tip (20% -service was good) was $95.00... More
