Good food and good service. It must be good cuz it's usually busy, but worth the short wait! If you go away hungry it's your own fault!

Good stop for burgers & malts. You can take it with you or eat at their picnic tables. Food is made to order, not prefried, so you may need to wait a few minutes. This is just a cute malt shop, not a big cafe, so relax & enjoy.

Great food! We stop there for the occasional thick malts and hamburger and fries. But we always stop there for 2 large ice cream cones when hiking on that end of the San Luis Valley ($4.84). And now, they are open year round which is great for us locals.

We have seen this little malt shop on previous trips to South Fork and noted it was always busy. We were tired of the busy full service places so we decided to stop in. Though humble (you order on the porch and take it with you or sit outside) this drive in didn't disappoint. We had the buffalo burger, a... More

It isn't just the throngs of tourists that want a good hamburger and milkshake in South Fork! The locals want them, too...and we live hear year-round! My husband and I talked about how smart it would be to open it up year-round and provide good food for the locals, skiers, snowmobilers, travelers, and the whole nine yards. :) I've lived... More

WOW!! This place was tasty! Food is cooked when you order it, so it is fresh off the grill. Staff was friendly. Large amounts of food for the money spent. Would make this a defnite stop on our trip!

Malts so thick that its a struggle to get any through your straw! If you have a chance end your night with sunsets and malts

This is a great stop for a fresh burger, some fantastic fries, and great shakes & malts. We really enjoyed the green chili cheese burger and our girls said their cheese burger was great too. Our first visit to the Malt Shop, we got shakes instead of malts. The shakes were great, but we decided we couldn't leave South Fork... More
